Yes, a brotha went on ahead and PreOrdered the 32GB 3G Version.
I jumped on the 32GB version well because, that’s all I need. This is not a computer, so I won’t be doing enough to need all that space. If I do, I will hand it down to the Mrs. Tech, and upgrade to the 64GB beast. She gets all the hand-me-down technology, and I get all the hand-me-down automobiles (compromise and sacrifice SAVES marriages, lol!)
I don’t mind waiting for the 3G version because I can use it during the day when wi-fi and certain sites are “not available” (read between the lines).
Additionally, I want to get into Home Automation/Energy Management (as a fan and possibly a profession), and I can see the iPad taking over as the de-facto touch screen control panel in that industry. So I want to use the iPad as a springboard to start doing my research (and some tinkering to my own house).
So there you have it, Brotha Tech’s reasons for jumping on the iPad bandwagon…If you don’t like it, I’m pretty sure there are tons of people who also agree that the iPad is the suckiest – maybe I can set up a meet and greet?
Will you be doing a review of it? I'd love to hear how it works out for you and if it "changes" your life in any way. I'm still on the fence about buying one…

Now that the iPad is poised for release, will Apples policy towards apps for the iPad be more lenient than the iPhone? Clearly, the iPad is not the iPhone and Apple needs to relax its hard-line policies.
I would like to completely convert to Apple, but there restrictive policies is what keeps me from “crossing over”. But on the flipside, not every consumer is a techie, so whatever Apple provides is just fine with them…maybe that’s Apple main demographic *sometimes ignorace is bliss?*
