App Update: Add Cold Hard Cash to Your PayPal Account

App Update: Add Cold Hard Cash To PayPal Account via BrothaTechFor whatever reason, there are some folks who use PayPal as their main method of banking, which is a little unorthodox, but feasible. The only obstacle has been if/when there’s a need to deposit cash — No such thing as PayPal ATM’s…yet.

Until then, PayPal has partnered with CVS and Rite Aid pharmacies to let you add cold hard cash to your PayPal account with its latest mobile app update.

The update adds the PayPal Cash feature, powered by Green Dot that creates a special barcode that you can take to your preferred pharmacy to scan and hand the cash over to cashier…for a $3.95 fee of course.

According to PayPal, the money will show up in your account within 15 minutes and you will receive an email confirmation.

To cool thing about PayPal Cash is that you don’t nned a separate card to carry around — It’s all done via your phone. So if the government is garnishing your wages you need a quick and easy way to add cash to your PayPal account, be sure to get the latest app update.

  • Yeah, getting the latest app update is really important. The best thing about PayPal Cash is that I don’t need a separate card to do the transactions. All I have to do is press some buttons on my phone.
