Click.to Web App Adds Skype Functionality

A Small Biz Go Mobile Joint

The traditional way to make a Skype call if the number you wish to dial is not in your contact’s list would be to either enter the number directly or copy/paste from somewhere else like off the web or from another app. Click.to has added Skype which offers the ability to call a number found anywhere on your computer by just highlighting the phone number.

2012 New Year, New Things, New Direction?

At a Crossroads?

Yo!

Just wanted to say that I’ve finally landed in the “A” and we’re almost done with living out of boxes…that is until we move again from the in-law’s place.

Lil’ Tech is cool with her new school, Tech 2.0 on the other hand is taking it rough (as expected, homegirl is only 18 months old), which makes it more rough on her parents – Got to hold back tears leaving her crying in the arms of strangers. On the flip-side, it makes me feel good to re-unite Mrs. Tech with her folks and “Granny” & “Pop-Pop” with their grand-babies. That in and of itself made the move worth it.

Other than that, the transition from MD to GA has been smoother than I thought. I’m getting adjusted to the new job, living with 5 other people in a 3-bedroom house, and all these Caribbean restaurants in ATL, lol!

Since I started off 2012 in a new location, I figured it’s [Finally] time to re-evaluate what i’m doing as a Technology Evangelist. How I got started was, for lack of a better phrase, “one thing led to another then…” I had a pseudo-road map planned out in my head, but never really sat down and visualized it on paper or talked it through with people outside of my immediate family.

So I want to take the time and start off 2012 with a better plan on what I really want to do with this whole “tech” thing. There are all kinds of ideas in my head, but with all the things going on in my personal life, I want to make sure all the time I spend in the arena is not wasted on still trying to figure out my direction.

I will still post here from time to time, and I still need to get paid, [lol!] so you will still continue to see my posts on SmallBizGoMobile & AppScout, in print in Uptown Magazine, as well as guest posts on my colleague’s sites. But I really want to take some time to iron out and add some action to all the stuff floating around in my head.

Really didn’t have a point to this post, just want to start letting all those who follow me to know what’s going on behind the scenes (I guess I did have a point to this post…go figure).

Low-Tech Packing Tip – Reuse Shredded Paper as Packing Material

I'm A Genius for coming up with this idea!

Half-way through packing up some of our boxes on a late night, I had a genius idea to reuse some of the paper from our office that we shredded as packing material for some of our fragile material that need to go in boxes.

We were going to buy more paper, bubble wrap, and some of those styrofoam popcorn thingys to use a packing material; but instead, we can now save our dough and give some old shredded paper new life.

Note: If this is an old technique that people have been using for years, do me a favor and keep your mouth shut and let me be great, lol!

Tech used: $50 paper shredder from Staples.
