Canary Adds Weatherproof, Versatile HD Security Camera To Lineup
I currently use the Canary all-in-one security camera in my home. As a standalone device that does monitors, video, audio, and even air quality, it’s a great solution and I would recommend it to anybody that needs easy to setup, yet reliable video monitoring for a small home or apartment.
If you have a larger home, you could buy multiple Canary units to place in desired locations. Coming soon, Canary will offer another solution, Canary Flex, a vesatile weatherproof HD security camera that will give you even more options to keep an eye on the inside or outside of your home.
Canary dubs Flex as the “most advanced and versatile HD security camera that has ever been created”, and it has the features to back up the claims. It has a durable plastic body that is weather resistant and rugged. You can install and adjust Canary Flex on a wall indoors or outdoors using either a mounted stand or a magnetic base that allows up to 360 degrees of adjustment that gives you idea angle for your needs.
Two additional mounting options include a snake mount that can wrap around different surfaces like stair rails…or a baby crib frame (will save that idea for later…), or a Verizon Wireless LTE mount that (you guessed it) connects to the web for continuous monitoring even if your home network goes down. For power, Canary Flex can be wired to a power source, wireless using two extended-life rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
You can use Canary Flex as a standalone HD camera, or integrate it with the original Canary and mobile app to create one complete home monitoring unit. Canary Flex will be $199 when it drops sometime in November and is available for pre-order now.
