Earlier this week, Apple released iOS 9.3 with several interesting features including a Night Shift Mode that makes consuming content at night easier (I’m paraphrasing, peep Apple’s website for more details).
Word on the street…well, not really word on the street if Apple confirmed it but nevertheless, if you have an older iPad, iOS 9.3 hasn’t been the most friendly, causing older iPhones and iPads to refuse iCloud activation after an update.
All that to say, if you haven’t updated to iOS 9.3 yet, HOLD UP until Apple patches it. If you just couldn’t wait and are currently in the midst of iOS 9.3 activation problems, Apple has updated its support page that includes a fix until they can get everything straightened out.
While you’re at it, be sure to backup your iDevice to iTunes or iCloud before doing anything major – Much easier to restore from a backup than starting over from scratch.
Apple has released a new build of iOS 9.3 that fixes activation issues. Download from Settings > General > Software Update on your device or via iTunes on your computer.
Those of you who were affected by the older version of iOS 9.3 will have to install the update your device via iTunes.
