This is the first time blogging from my phone. Now I could have easily composed an email and sent it to the blog, but as you all know, I am a geek, so I needed a cooler, more technical way to an otherwise simple task.

The Lowdown

Enter Wordpress for Blackberry. It is an application (still in beta) for just about all of the newer BlackBerry smartphones that gives users more control over their blog(s) versus just adding an entry.

With features like saving drafts, editing previous posts, adding images, viewing comments and others, (the app even picked up on some html code I was gonna use and up popped a window that let me add a link) Wordpress for BlackBerry ensures that users will have a more integrated experience with blogging on the go.

Like I stated earlier, the app is still in beta, so they are still working out the kinks. For example, when the app was younger, I couldn’t get the app to switch from portrait to landscape mode (I own the BB Storm), but I kept checking back, and the bug was updated. Needless to say Wordpress is steadily tweaking the app.

This entry in its entirety was done using the Wordpress for Blackberry, so let’s just say I give it “a brotha’s approval”. I will keep you posted on when the full app drops.
