Woot!

dot com that is…
While reading my normal blogs, I stumbled upon a pretty neat blog/community that sells cool stuff for cheap. Now you know a brotha loves cool stuff…add in the cheap variable, and that is what you call a “win-win”. For the most part, the products sold on Woot! range from 20-100 bucks; but suprisingly, those facts about Woot.com are not what caught my eye.
The Lowdown:
The hook to Woot! (I love saying that) is that it only sells one item per day until it is sold out or until the day is over (11:59pm). If you item is sold out before they day ends…TOO BAD (they don’t even tell you how many items remain). If you missed that day’s sale…TOO BAD, you can’t purchase that item again. If you do manage to get ahold to one of the products for sale that day, all if not most of your correspondence (buyer’s remorse, defective product, etc) dealing with that product is done with the manufacturer. There is a Woot! community where you can ask questions and converse with other members and maybe Woot! staff about Woot’s products, but that’s it. …so don’t sweat
I know, you are asking “Why would I buy from Woot!?”
I understand this is a recession and every penny counts, but if you are looking for a cool gadget, thingy, or doo-dad for the cheap, and an even cooler community to goof around with, Woot! is the place. In addition to the community, they have a gag podcast/item description of every item, and you can subscribe to Woot’s RSS feed to get the drop on the latest gadget up for sale.
Check out Woot’s FAQ page to get more of what Woot! has to offer.
